Welcome To The Metropolitan Bells
The Metropoltan Bells is an advanced community handbell ensemble consisting of auditioned ringers from the greater Chattanooga area. They perform on seven octaves of Malmark bells, and seven octaves of Malmark choirchimes. The goal of the organization is to bring advanced sacred and secular handbell music to the community and to promote the art of handbell ringing.
Auditions for our 2024-2025 season
The Metropolitan Bells would love for you to attend our auditions which will be held on Monday evening, August 12, at 7pm. Auditions take place at Christ UMC, 8645 East Brainerd Road
Our audition process consists of a basic music and handbell notation knowledge assessment, skills demonstration in various ringing positions, and sightreading exercises to show ringing style.
